I was born in Bismarck, ND and moved to Sheridan, WY for 10 years. I moved back to this area in 1967. I graduated from Bismarck High School in 1970 and attended Bismarck State College from 1970 - 1972. I then attended Dickinson State College and graduated in 1975.

I met my wife, Gail, in 1976 in Dickinson and we were married in 1979 in Bismarck. I worked for several financial institutions from 1975 - 1979. In 1979, my wife and I moved to Sioux Falls, SD to manage a business for a friend. In 1980, our daughter Brittany was born in Sioux Falls. In 1980 I went to work for Northwestern Bell selling advertising for them in Bismarck. In 1982, my son Seth was born. I worked for Qwest until 2002. I have lived in the Bismarck/Mandan area for the last 22 years and with my previous job with Northwest Bell/Qwest, I have been allowed the privilege of being in touch with the majority of business owners in the area. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, building, auto repair, and traveling. I am a member of the Elks and the Shriners.
